Juliana Moreira was born in Osasco, in the metropolitan area of São Paulo, Brazil, on 15 April 1982. She studied in São Paulo and graduated from the Escola Leonor Mendes de Barros. During her youth, she cultivated a strong interest in sport and dance, including athletics, samba rock and forró. Her first experiences in the world of work came at the age of eleven, when she helped in her godmother’s pharmacy in Osasco. That early contact with customers helped her develop the confidence and communicative skills that would later become central to her television career.

Moreira subsequently entered one of São Paulo’s leading modelling agencies, Ford Models, and later worked with Fox. She became a testimonial for Brazilian brands and appeared in fashion-related television programmes. Her modelling career gradually opened the way to television, where she appeared on Brazilian programmes including Sem Limites para Sonhar, programmes associated with Claudia Metner, and Domínio Público. One of her early ambitions was fulfilled when she worked on a programme hosted by Xuxa, a major Brazilian television star who had inspired her during childhood.

Moreira moved to Italy in 2005. Initially, she continued working as a model, but the decisive turning point came the following year, when she was invited to audition by Gianna Tani, then head of Mediaset’s casting department. Tani was impressed by Moreira’s energy and personality and showed the audition tape to television producer Antonio Ricci.

Juliana Moreira’s television career
In the summer of 2006, Moreira made her Italian television debut on Canale 5 in Cultura Moderna, presented by Teo Mammucari. The programme quickly gave her national visibility, and she later appeared in its related editions and special broadcasts, including Cultura Moderna Slurp.

Her breakthrough was significant because it demonstrated that her appeal extended beyond conventional modelling. Moreira brought to television a combination of physical presence, comic timing, natural sensuality and an unmistakable Brazilian accent, while also showing an approachable and spontaneous personality.

In December 2007, Moreira presented three Paperissima specials alongside Lydie Pages and the Gabibbo. She subsequently replaced former Miss Italy Edelfa Chiara Masciotta as a presenter of Paperissima Sprint, beginning with the 2008–2009 season. The programme became the role most closely associated with her public image.

Moreira returned to Paperissima Sprint in several later seasons and worked alongside the Gabibbo, becoming a familiar presence in Italian homes. Her popularity was not limited to one demographic: Rai’s biographical profile described her as appreciated by women for her sympathy and smile, by men for her natural sensuality, and by children for her sensitivity and attention to younger viewers.

Her television work expanded during the following years. In 2010, she presented Matricole & Meteore with Nicola Savino on Italia 1 and appeared regularly on Teo Mammucari’s Fenomenal. She also took part in The Call – Chi ha paura di Teo Mammucari? In 2012, she appeared as an actress in Sto Classico, associated with Colorado, and in 2014 she participated in the sitcom Bye Bye Cinderella.

Her career has also included appearances in entertainment programmes, advertising and digital projects. In 2019, she and her husband, television personality Edoardo Stoppa, created Feel Good by Stoppeiras, a television and web format centred on physical and psychological wellbeing.

Juliana Moreira’s sexy photoshoots
In Italy, her modelling image became increasingly associated with glamour photography and entertainment magazines. She combined a tall, slim physique with a distinctly feminine appearance (91-61-91 cm) and a confident but generally playful public persona. This helped her move between fashion, commercial modelling, television presenting and show business without being confined to a single professional category.

She was featured as the cover star and had a dedicated fashion spread and poster for the August 2007 issue of the Italian monthly magazine Max (August 2007). The issue marked an important moment in the period when her visibility was rapidly expanding from television into the Italian men’s magazine and glamour market.
