1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?
I’m TrySoles, I’m not great at introductions. I’m just a guy trying to draw. I’m Italian. Age between 27 and 34. This is my page, focused mostly on foot and tickling fetishes, obviously. I have a Pixiv account too, but I don’t use it as much.
Leggi tutto: Tickle artists #174: interview with TrySoles2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?
I draw using whatever pens or pencils in rough sketchbooks I have at home or on my tablet, also on my phone when I’m out and I have some time. Sketchbook has been my go-to app on my devices. I don’t have one specific artist who inspires me, but I really loved Jayakun’s video game (Amirian Curse) and the animations of his characters. My favorite artist on DA has nothing to do with fetish and tickling, Idk if he wants to be named.
3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?
I definitely loved drawing and making up stories when I was a child. I never really pursued it, for a number of reasons. Just this past year, I decided to give it a try (I’m not even sure why). As for tickling… Well, I think that’s something that stems from childhood for a lot of people (I assume?)
4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?
Mummified and buried! I also like to draw weird tickling scenarios involving magic (like division spell or Sphered).

5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?
The relationship between the tickler and the ticklee, not malicious, though. There’s a certain sweetness from the tickler towards the ticklee.
Also developing OCs with different backstories and personalities, and tickling-based relationships, too. Like the love-hate dynamic a person might have with being tickled…

6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real life?
Many “tickling sessions” are more artificial than drawings. Perhaps drawings offer a world apart? One that is more varied and sometimes more real.
7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?
Well, if you like it, you like it, people who look for this kind of content are certainly drawn to it. Is it the feeling of having someone in your hands, or being helpless in someone else’s hands?
8) What are your works of which you are most proud?
There are far more works I’m not proud of than ones I am… but I’ve grown really attached to some of my OCs.
9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?
I don’t have any artistic goals for the future. Maybe to make friends.
10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?
I think AI in art spells the death of personality. Sometimes, just looking at a drawing is enough to recognize the artist, works created with AI all look the same and, in any case, lack soul. In my opinion, a simple doodle is better.
