Kenja no Deshi wo Nanoru Kenja (also known as She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man) follows Sakimori Kagami, a veteran player of the VRMMORPG Ark Earth Online, who logs in as the powerful sage Danblf Gandagore. After tweaking his avatar, he awakens trapped in the game world as a young silver-haired girl named Mira, retaining Danblf’s immense magical powers. To hide his identity, Mira claims to be Danblf’s disciple while searching for a way home and reuniting the Nine Wise Men amid rising threats like demon incursions.
The manga adaptation, illustrated by Dicca Suemitsu, began serialization in Comic Ride in July 2016 and has compiled at least 14 volumes by mid-2025, with English releases by Seven Seas Entertainment up to volume 13. It stems from Hirotsugu Ryusen’s web novel serialized since 2012, with 23 light novel volumes published. An anime aired in 2022, covering early arcs.
