Big Sky is an American crime drama thriller television series created by David E. Kelley, based on the “The Highway” series of books by C. J. Box. The show aired from November 2020 to January 2023 on ABC and follows private detectives working on multiple cases in Montana, including investigating kidnappings and disappearances along a remote highway.
Katheryn Winnick stars as Jenny Hoyt, an ex-cop who takes ownership of her ex-husband’s private detective agency. Jenny Hoyt is portrayed as a cynical, tough, impulsive, ambitious, and direct woman who is not afraid to get her hands dirty. Beneath her tough exterior, there are subtle emotional layers to her character, including a sensitive and lost side as she tries to figure out her own identity outside of her past marriage and motherhood. Jenny teams up with another private detective, Cassie Dewell, to solve crimes, including the central case of kidnapping two sisters on a remote highway
