Tickle Artists #137: Interview with StaticFeets

1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?

Greetings, the name’s Alex, I do usually prefer to be known as Alex more than my username in DA, since I’m not creative with nicknames, I’m from Mexico, a graphic designer and a feet artist.

I started around 2016 drawing feet with pencil and paper, but I think I started my DA around 2020. My motivation was that I don’t see a lot of work from characters I like, so I decided to create my own, so I usually draw characters that I like, not really popular ones.

2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?

Like almost everyone, I started with paper and pencil, but I have my first pen tablet around 2020, and by that moment I loved digital drawing. I think it has a lot of tools to make great art and that really suits me well, also I hate coloring in paper, I was never good with colors.

I do have a lot of artist that I look for reference, the first one I really liked it’s Wtfeather, I think he’s one my references to draw feet, also I do love works from Kusujinn, Redscript, Briel7 and Raijin44, I do really like how he models, also I have know really great artist like Daurphan, Princess LulUWU and ZetaD!

3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?

I liked to draw when I was a little kid, I think i had a lot of imagination at that time and express it via drawing randoms robots, monster, and that kind of stuff, I also loved a lot of toons from Cartoon Network, I really liked the channel and a lot of series like Adventure Time, Regular Show, Steven Universe and a lot more, eventually I found the fandoms on internet and started to make fanarts.

About tickles, I do like it but my main fetish It’s feet in general, and when I found out that were feet draws on internet about the series or games I watched, I wanted to see more about my fav characters, and since not everyone have a lot of stuff there, I think I could do my own

4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?

I like when they’re in stocks or some kind of restrainment, not hard bondage but yeah, something kind of practical, but I think one of the most interesting tickling scenarios I have drawn are the ones that involve bugs, they were something.

But if you ask me, my favorite way to tickle it’s licking tongues!

5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?

First of all I like to represent the characters like the original reference, and one of my last commissions really made me put a lot of effort in expressions, I do love it! I think the best part it’s to draw how feet and faces react to the tickles, and even if I don’t tend to draw it, I like the idea or concept of losing control.

6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real life?

I think there’s 2 main reasons I think, first the characters, a lot of people have crush for fictional characters, and draws can give us a really good representation of them, and the second one it’s draws can really explore more savage ways to tickle someone! I think Redscript it’s a great example of

7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?

I think the expression, the reaction on ticklees’ soles and body are priceless, the sensation or power and stimulating the ticklee it’s something I think it’s very interesting and exciting. So yeah, I’d say it’s more the reaction of the person who’s getting tickled

8) What are your works of which you are most proud?

I don’t know, but one of my favorites it’s one about Potionomics girls. I think that’s the first pic where I started to render like nowadays, also Lux’s skins getting tickled was a really fun comm and the Akali’s one, those 3 are my favorite works.

9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?

I do have one idea, it’s to make every league character a foot tease and getting tickled pic, and some variants changing to their most popular skins, I started doing Sejuani but I got a little bit distracted and never finish it.

Other goal it’s to get better, jajaja, I think I have too many things to learn or adjust.

10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?

I don’t know being honest, I have seen some pics made by AI that really copy the art-style from an feet artist, it’s kinda concerning that the AI could copy well the style with the results being kind of acceptable.
