Tickle Artists #4: Interview with WooouTK

1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?

Hi, I’m WooouTK and I mainly make 3D images involving tickling, foot fetish and BDSM themes… I usually accompany my sets of images with a short story, although on occasion, I’ve been encouraged to write something longer. I also create animations and props for DAZ Studio, the program I use for my renders.

2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?

I wouldn’t exactly call what I do drawing. To explain it somehow, DAZ Studio works by assembling a sort of “virtual diorama,” in which I insert, place, and manipulate the elements I want to appear in the images. Within this diorama, I can move the camera in all directions and “take photos.”

As for my sources of inspiration, I don’t have a specific reference. I could say I take ideas from a lot of sources, although I would highlight, for example, Caroo’s designs of restrictive devices, which I generally love, and the work of Yurihausen and February 7.

3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?

As far as I can remember, both things have always been a part of me, although concerning drawing, when I was little, I did draw traditionally, with pencil and paper, but it’s not a skill I polished too much, and after high school, I hardly drew anything. A few years ago, I stumbled upon DAZ Studio purely by chance, and I was intrigued by the fact that there was a program that could create such realistic images. I tried it at a very basic level, but due to the lockdowns caused by COVID, when I could barely leave my house, I started using it a lot and became quite proficient. I could accomplish in hours what previously took me days.

4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?

I don’t have a specific preference regarding my scenarios; they could take place in a medieval village, a spaceship, or in a basement or room like those in our world. In fact, I like to vary this aspect quite a bit, although there are times when I simply add a colored background and have everything take place on a pedestal. I usually do this when I can’t find a suitable setting for the scene, the scene presents too many problems to be rendered, or I simply don’t see it as necessary.

As for the protagonists, I generally prefer the ticklee to be a woman, although I’m more open when it comes to the tickler, and I have included in my work all the options I could imagine: men, women, robots, goats, tentacles…

5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?

In general, all the examples you have mentioned are valid. However, considering that a significant part of my work also involves BDSM themes, I like to approach the topic of the ticklee’s absolute helplessness, where they either cannot do anything or will find it practically impossible to escape from the tickling.

6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real scenes?

With Daz Studio, in an afternoon or a couple of days, I could have a set of quite accomplished images of a cowboy riding a tyrannosaurus through the streets of London… Essentially, that’s what illustrations can achieve compared to real images, something that would be very difficult, if not impossible, to accomplish in real life. An artist could recreate it, at least in an image, with a greater or lesser degree of realism. Just imagine trying to build some of the devices that appear in my renders… It would probably be obscenely expensive.

7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?

I’m not quite sure how to answer this, and I believe that each individual person must have their own response… In my case, it’s something that has always fascinated me, so I’ve felt a natural inclination, and it’s a quite fun element to play with my partner.

8) What are your works of which you are most proud?

If I had to choose the best of what I have created so far, it would undoubtedly be the Advanced Hogtie Stocks, the free prop for DAZ Studio. I remember making it in just over two days, and it turned out perfect. I love the simultaneously humiliating and helpless position that the ticklee is forced to adopt in that device, which is why I use it so much in my renders.

9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?

As of today, my situation regarding this hobby is somewhat precarious. However, I foresee continuing to create content for quite some time. Due to my work, I have a somewhat complicated and unstable pace of life, and it’s not uncommon for me to go for weeks without access to a computer… or even a toilet hehehe. In the future, I know I will have much more time for myself, and my life will undoubtedly be less chaotic and much more stable and predictable. I would like to dedicate more time to creating a greater quantity of content, more diverse, and of higher quality.

10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?

Just 5 years ago, ChatGPT was science fiction. I believe that in a few years, AI will advance to a level that we are currently unable to imagine. However, in this purely human aspect, the best understanding of a human comes from another human. So, while I see it quite plausible that an AI can be shown several tickling scenes and it replicate them fairly well, substituting the characters with famous actors or actresses, I highly doubt that an AI by itself will be capable of creating a scene that truly pleases a human without introducing unsettling elements.
