Tickling Artists #64: Interview with Aggelioss

1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?

I am Aggelioss a 32 years old Nicaraguan artist who is passionate about the art of tickling. Over the course of more than 10 years, I have dedicated myself to creating various types of art, including comics, original drawings, and fan arts. However, it was only about a year ago that I immersed myself in the world of tickling art.

For many years, I immersed myself in artistic creation through an account on DeviantArt, where I shared a variety of drawings, although none related to tickling. However, an unfortunate moment resulted in the loss of that account, along with all my drawings and followers. This setback distanced me from the world of drawing for a while, but the passion never completely disappeared.

It was during that period of distance that I discovered the art of tickling and was captivated by the way it was portrayed. Although I had always enjoyed tickling, I had never explored the associated art before.

2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?

I use a variety of techniques in my drawings, but when it comes to creating my tickling art, I primarily rely on digital art techniques, often utilizing a tablet for vectorization. My creative process typically starts with sketches to capture the essence of the scene or character I want to portray. Then, I transfer these sketches to digital format, where I can work with colors and finer details. This approach allows me the flexibility and precision to bring my tickling-themed artwork to life in vibrant digital form

My inspiration to start in this field came from the talented artist Codricor. Upon seeing his work and how he interacted with his audience, I was captivated by the way the tickling community unfolds and appreciates art. Since then, I have fallen in love with tickling and the diversity of expressions that arise from uncontrollable laughter

3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?

My passion for drawing was born when I was very young. I’ve always felt a deep connection with art and the ability to express myself through it. As for my passion for tickling, it started at an early age, long before I delved into the world of art. I’ve always been fascinated by tickling and the emotions it evokes in people. Since childhood, I enjoyed watching many videos and photos of the laughter reactions that arose during tickling sessions.

4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?

I love to draw a wide variety of tickling scenarios, from playful and comedic situations to more intimate and emotional moments. I enjoy capturing the diversity of expressions and emotions that arise during tickling, whether it’s between friends, romantic partners, or even fictional characters in imaginary worlds.

In particular, I enjoy casual scenarios like beds or bedrooms, but I also love dungeons. I like to draw my characters completely immobilized and subjected during tickling sessions.

5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?

With my art, I strive to capture all the emotional and physical aspects of tickling. I love to depict the contagious and uncontrollable laughter that arises during a tickling session, as well as the squirming and struggle to escape from the tickles. Additionally, I’m interested in exploring the dynamics between the tickler and the ticklee, whether it’s showing complicity and fun or even a bit of mischievous rivalry.

6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real scenes?

In my opinion, illustrations offer the advantage of unlimited creativity. While real photos and videos can capture authentic moments, illustrations allow for the portrayal of imaginary situations and fictional characters. Additionally, illustrations can vividly highlight emotions and facial expressions, adding an extra level of depth and emotional connection with the viewer

7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?

I believe tickling is intriguing for enthusiasts for several reasons. Firstly, tickling is a universal experience that most people have encountered at some point in their lives, creating an instant connection and recognition among viewers. Additionally, tickling is inherently fun and can elicit contagious laughter and moments of shared joy. There’s also an element of intimacy and complicity in tickling sessions, as they often involve close physical interactions among friends, partners, or family members

Nor should we overlook the erotic component, as tickling can bring pleasure to both the receiver and the giver, in addition to being a good complement in relationships based on consensual domination

8) What are your works of which you are most proud?

I am particularly proud of my comics and original drawings that capture the fun and excitement of tickling sessions. Each piece represents a creative effort to convey the mischief and positive energy that I find in the art of tickling.

I love interacting with my followers, so when I see them commenting on my works, I don’t hesitate to respond. If one of my drawings manages to capture the interest of many people, it fills me with joy.

9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?

For the future, my goal is to continue growing and developing as a tickling artist. I would love to expand my audience and share my passion for the art of tickling with more people. Additionally, I would like to explore new techniques and artistic styles to continue innovating in my work.

I am currently developing a comic titled “The Tickle Queen,” where I aim not only to depict erotic tickling scenarios but also to create a captivating story where the personalities of the characters and their decision-making are significant.

10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?

Personally, I believe that artificial intelligence has the potential to enrich the art of tickling representations. While it is true that technology can change the way we create and consume art, it also opens up new creative opportunities.

I remember that when these technologies emerged, many artists launched campaigns against them. I myself had some fear of them, but in the end, tickling enthusiasts often prefer art created by humans.
