Tickling Artists #62: Interview with HomelessMonster

1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?

Hi everyone! I am HomelessMonster, I’m a fetish artist that focuses mostly on tickling, foot fetish, BDSM and NSFW. I started making fetish content almost 9 years ago, but I began trying to make a living out of this about 4 years ago and it wasn’t until last year that I decided to open my Patreon.

2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?

When I started I was a traditional artist, I used pencil to make the sketch, pen to outline and wood colors, nowadays I’m a 100% digital artist, I find it to be much more comfortable for me because it’s easier to make corrections and it’s very comfortable to use, I use Photoshop all the time. As for artists, I’m a big fan of Bill Vicious, Kusujin, KandenRem and MichaelScottCannon. I love how they do anatomy and facial expressions.

3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?

I’ve been into drawing since I was a child, I wasn’t even 2 years old when I started watching Dragon Ball Z and at the age of 3 I spent almost all my time trying to draw DBZ characters. So I’m very proud to say that my passion for drawing was born thanks to the work of Master Akira Toriyama.

As for the tickling. I’m not sure about the science of how fetishes develop, and I’ve also had different experiences. For example I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t interested in feet, but I think what sparked my interest in tickling was the foot tickling scene in the movie Tarzan.

4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?

I love drawing extreme and intense tickling scenarios in which the character is being tickled all over by lots of tickling tools. I especially like the concept of them being trapped in the facilities of a “Tickling Lab”.

5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?

I love depicting how overwhelming the tickling sensation can be, to the point in which it can produce arousal and/or desperation. That’s why I think one of the most important things in these drawings are the expressions, which can represent the hysterical aspect of laughter.

6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real life?

I think it’s the fact that fetish illustrations are not bound to reality and can depict anything you want, so basically it’s a way in which the spectator can see and enjoy scenarios that would be impossible to watch in the real world.

7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?

I think this question could be asked to a thousand people and you could get a thousand different answers, but in my case I think it would be the sound of laughter and the reactions to the tickling sensation.

8) What are your works of which you are most proud?

I’m proud of all of them mainly because I think they all contributed to the development and improvement of my art style. But I’m very proud of my most recent works featuring IRL people, cartoon and anime characters.

9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?

I would love to create more OCs and make tickling comics about them. I’m also a Digital animator so I would also love to start making tickling animations, I just need to find the time and resources to make it possible, that’s one of the main reasons why I opened my Patreon.

10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?

I don’t think that AI will be able to completely replace the artists, I think AI illustrations lack soul and emotion, lots of them look almost the same and that can be boring. But I also think that AI could be a very useful tool when used correctly.
