1)Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?
Hello there! My name is Riley and I’m your favourite colourblind tickling artist! I love bondage and femdom almost as much as tickling. My art is often in gray/greyscale initially due to my colourblindness, but now has become part of my preferred style! I occasionally do things in colour for special events such as birthdays or collaborations, but I still have a lot to learn on that front.

I mainly use both Krita and Photoshop to draw in. Krita has some nice brushes that I just can’t seem to do right in Photoshop, so most of my art is a combination of the two. My hands are very shaky so I turn the Line Smoothing up high, but it leads to less consistent pictures than I’d like, it’s a work in progress ^_^
There’s a lot of answers I could give, I remember seeing a lot of formative works when I first joined DeviantArt like Pirata3, Wtfeather, and AConfusedTickler. However the one that will always stick with me was a 3D modeller called SirJerryLone, who made the most wonderful barefoot bondage art. When I first saw those renders I thought ‘Wow, I never knew art could be like this!’ and my life was set on a different path.
3)How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?
I’ve always liked the idea of drawing but I wasn’t very good at it with a pencil and paper. It wasn’t until I got my hands on a pen and drawing tablet that I began to get into it properly. For tickling, my love of bare feet and belly buttons came first (I would stare at my soles and belly in the mirror when I was younger and not know why I liked it, it wasn’t until a lot later that I figured it out).
4)What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?
I looove drawing scenarios where the ticklee is gagged and can’t tell their captor to stop tickling them. There’s something so pure to me about the ONE thing a captive being forced to do (laugh) being taken away from them and turned into helpless muffled giggles. This is great for interrogation scenarios where the interrogator asks questions they know the captive can’t answer, and they’re just being teasy or mean ^_^
I’ve come to love skincare and feminization scenarios as well for tickling, where someone is forced to be pampered against their will, dress in a way they don’t usually to add to the humiliation of being tickled.

5)What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?
The helplessness is one thing I love to represent. Laughing like that as an involuntary response can be very intense for a lot of people, but also very freeing despite the restraints I like to draw. Teasy scenarios between roommates or a ticklee locked into a cold unfeeling tickle machine who they can’t even reason with, there’s a lot of variation I like and not just one thing.
6)Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real life?
Illustrations go beyond what the real world can do, like the tickle machines I’m so fond of. Devices you can programme to lock you in for a certain amount of time and then release you after a few hours of tickling just aren’t here yet! Nor are spells that spawn tickling feathers or tentacles to hold you in place while your clothes are invaded/removed, unfortunately ehehehe.

7)In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?
I think the average person overlooks just how being tickled can make you feel. It’s such a wonderful sound, either free or gagged, and it gives you a great workout at the same time, what’s not to love? I’m very glad this community exists so we can all share this love for something so simple with each other!
8)What are your works of which you are most proud?
That’s a tricky question, but I’m a big fan of the femdom hogtied footworship piece with Klara and an OC trainer, where Klara (the tickler) correctly deduces her captive is a lesbian based on the reactions she’s giving to having her feet worshipped. The ticklee says it isn’t fair because Klara was the one who was sucking her toes, which isn’t a particularly straight or vanilla thing to do on her part, to which Klara ignores her. I think I like it so much because even though Klara outs the other character, the implication is that she has an affinity for women too but is much more confident about it than her shy captive, and is willing to help her accept herself despite their situation.

9)Do you have any particular artistic goal?
Animation is one I’d like to try a bit more of, as well as a more manga style. My style isn’t as consistent as I’d like it to be and branching out further probably isn’t the smartest idea, but as the kids say ‘Cowabunga it is!’
10)Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?
AI is a tough one, because I get the argument the proponents have. It lets people create art who otherwise wouldn’t be able to e.g. the physically disabled, people who have very busy jobs/lives etc., but the cost of this is extremely high on everyone else, be it other artist’s works being stolen to feed into it, from its enormous electricity and water usage. I’m monochromatic colourblind (my vision is also extremely poor aside from that), and I use wrist grips to stop my hands from shaking, so while I’m not the most disabled out there I do think that with the right tools anyone can draw if they have the will!
