1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?

Hi, I’m JFerron. I am an amateur, not very good at drawing, and who needs to progress in the art of drawing. At the moment, what I do is more of a “naive” style.

2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?

I don’t really have any source of inspiration from other artists. But I’m a big fan of Saudelli, BAC, FTKL, J. Redder, Bad Pierrot, AchilleSheelArt, Briel, Kusujinn, The Hunter, Bandito, Ticklegas, Pawfeathers, ShanE, Ozzy, and some others.

3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?

My parents enrolled me in Fine Arts when I was a child, where unfortunately I didn’t learn much at the time. My fetish dates back to around the same time, but the two processes are independent.

4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?

A woman is interrogated by another woman, in different forms (feathers, goats, machine, hands, but for the hands, it is more difficult to draw).

5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?

Facial expressiveness and bodily reactions are very important to me, and I try to represent them (with my limited means).

6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real scenes?

In fact, I always get very frustrated when watching videos. I also think that my fetish was nourished in my childhood by scenes from films, comics and cartoons which left me wanting more (because it didn’t go far enough, or didn’t go in the direction I hoped for), and drawing, from the beginning, has been a refuge to represent what I really wanted to see.

7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?

My personal idea is that this fetishistic “ritual” is a symbolic transposition of the sexual act in our unconscious built during childhood, and linked to a taboo process, probably due to an old trauma.

8) What are your works of which you are most proud?

I don’t feel any particular pride. Above all, I need to acquire the basics that I lack.

9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?

I have a plan for an illustrated novel that I’m trying to write. Ideally, the 30 or so drawings that will accompany it should represent the synthesis of everything I have wanted to see for a long time. It would be a bit like the “sum” of my fantasies.

10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?

Assuming that AIs are accessible without censorship filters, and that it will one day be fully configurable, giving the possibility of composing the scene of one’s choice down to the smallest details, in the entirely desired layout, and in the desired style, then indeed – and this is quite disturbing – this technology could make it more difficult for real artists to emerge. I would like to point out that, in my opinion, AI creation cannot be placed on the same level as traditional artistic creation. I’ve put this kind of images online to have fun, but I don’t claim this is “art”. This seems to me to be more of a form of consumerism. Moreover, it’s a debate that is shaking up the art world as a whole. At any rate, I believe that there will always be a satisfaction to draw oneself his own work, perhaps more capable than an AI of transcribing their intimate idea, and for this reason – not to mention personal style and artistic value – this art will continue to arouse amateur interest.
