Tickling Artists #73: Interview with Kimoon79

1) Do you want to tell us something about yourself and your art?

First of all, I want to thank you for the space you are giving me. I’m Kimoon79. I started from a very young age to draw illustrations on request. In 2000 I discovered the wonderful art of drawing fetishes. I really like it because I think it is liberating.

2) What techniques do you use to draw? Do you have a favorite artist that inspires you?

I use pencils or charcoal to make my sketches. I really like to focus on how the expressions of the characters or people I am drawing can turn out. I am fascinated to see how they transform, then I scan the sketch, paint and ink digitally. I am inspired by many artists, especially Frank Frazetta and Frank Cho.

3) How much was the passion for drawing born in you? And the one for the tickle?

From a very young age I was given to drawing, I only thought about devoting myself to that, then I drew all kinds of things for a long time, but you know, that gets a little boring, when I discovered the art of tickling thanks to a friend I thought it was fascinating and make no mistake, all commissions are a challenge for the artist.

4) What are the tickling scenarios that you prefer to draw?

I really like superheroes and also fighters. I always think that making a very strong woman laugh with tickle is something very funny.

5) What are the aspects of tickling that you intend to represent with your art? Example: the laughing, the wriggling, the relationship between tickler and ticklee?

I have always thought that laughter is something fundamental to life, without laughter there is not much reason to exist, right? That’s why I focus and I like working on that aspect more. It’s great when they give you work with characters that are very serious and you can make them laugh.

6) Online there are countless photos and videos of tickling sessions. In your opinion, what do illustrations offer more than images of real life?

The possibility of seeing someone you never imagined being a victim of tickling and laughing to unimaginable limits and everything the imagination can do.

7) In your opinion, what makes tickling so interesting for fans of this phenomenon?

That, seeing someone you like, love a lot or who is very serious and laughing too much, the possibilities are endless.

8) What are your works of which you are most proud?

The ones that are made of fighters, I like them all

9) Do you have any particular artistic goals for the future?

Yes, I have my own original character: Kimoon, of whom I would like to publish comics related to her adventures with the tickles.

10) Do you think AIs will end up enriching or impoverishing the art of tickling representations?

I try to concentrate only on my work and try not to see AI as the enemy, but it does bother me that they steal images from artists who have already built a reputation and have worked hard on a style, it doesn’t seem fair to me, however, we must be careful find that the Ia, like it or not, is here to stay.
