In Love Lies Bleeding, Katy O’Brian plays the character Jackie, an ambitious bodybuilder. The film, directed by Rose Glass and set in 1989, explores the passionate yet tumultuous relationship between Jackie and Lou, portrayed by Kristen Stewart. Their love story quickly spirals into violence and entangles them in a criminal underworld. The plot centers around Lou, a reclusive gym manager, who becomes romantically involved with Jackie while navigating her ties to a crime family. As Jackie prepares for a bodybuilding competition in Las Vegas, their relationship intensifies, leading to dark and violent outcomes.
In a scene, Lou (Kristen Stewart) licks Jackie’s toes. In a interview with Men’s Health, O’Brian affirms:
“I was like, ‘I can spray mint on my toe,’” she laughs. “I’m ticklish, so it was all I could do not to scream.”
