Petra Verkaik is a Dutch-American model and actress. She was born in Los Angeles, California, on November 4, 1966. She was first featured in Playboy in the February 1989 Great Playmate Hunt special edition and was the Playmate of the Month in the December 1989 issue. In 1997, she won the Playboy Reader’s Choice Model of the Year Award.
In 1990, Verkaik made an uncredited appearance in the television crime film “Rainbow Drive,” which featured actor Peter Weller. The following year, she took on the role of Basia in the romantic comedy “Pyrates,” alongside Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick. In 1992, Verkaik had another uncredited part in “Love Potion No. 9,” sharing a scene with actor Tate Donovan. In May 1996, she guest-starred in an episode of “Married with Children.” In 2000, Verkaik played a minor role in the low-budget horror movie “Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger IV.”
As of 2008, had made more appearances in “Playboy” than any other centerfold model (besting even Pamela Anderson!)
